Most commercial flooring claims trace back to conditions verifiable before installation — moisture readings outside tolerance, subfloor flatness outside tolerance, acclimatisation not completed, batch numbers not confirmed.

Claims prevention is a pre-installation checklist executed and signed off by the installing contractor: subfloor moisture within adhesive tolerance, flatness within finish tolerance, product acclimatised for the specified period, delivery batch numbers reconciled against the release order, ambient conditions within manufacturer specification.

Where the checklist cannot be signed off, installation should not proceed. The commercial cost of a delayed installation is materially lower than the cost of remediating a failed floor.
