The core is the structural body of a resilient plank. Three general constructions dominate commercial supply.

01SPC — Stone Plastic Composite

Rigid, dimensionally stable, tolerant of temperature variation. The dominant construction for commercial application. Harder underfoot than WPC. Suitable for large open floor plates without intermediate expansion.

02WPC — Wood Plastic Composite

Softer, warmer underfoot, more forgiving over minor subfloor imperfections. More thermally responsive than SPC. Suits residential and light commercial.

03Flexible vinyl

Non-rigid, glue-down system. Higher subfloor preparation requirement. Suits high-traffic commercial where a fully bonded floor is preferred over a floating installation.
