A pre-shipment inspection is conducted at the manufacturing facility once the order is packed and prior to container loading. It is the last operational point at which a non-conforming batch can be returned to production without incurring freight cost, port storage, or a site delivery slot rescheduled.
The inspection scope covers: batch identification against the release order, dimensional sampling against the tolerance sheet, colour and grade against the control sample, moisture content at dispatch, packaging integrity, and loading plan against the container manifest.
The record
The output is a signed inspection report with dated photographs, measurement records against tolerance, batch identification, and any observations released to the client. The report accompanies the shipping documentation and forms part of the delivery record on site.
