Adhesive selection is a system decision, not a commodity purchase. The adhesive must match the substrate, the product being bonded and the moisture condition of the slab.

01Systems in common use

MS polymer — high-performance, elastic bond, tolerant of moisture, dominant in engineered timber commercial supply. Two-part epoxy or PU — used where moisture exceeds MS tolerance or where a rigid bond is specified. Acrylic — used with vinyl in dry, controlled substrates.

Using an adhesive outside its rated moisture tolerance is the single most common installation failure. The specification and the moisture reading must be reconciled before the adhesive is ordered.
